Longshanks & Talesman have a three-pronged answer.

Radio Programmes

Radio programmes, researched, scripted, performed and recorded for you by Longshanks (studied Archaeology and Theatre Studies at university) and Talesman (professional sound engineer and story teller). These will take the listener on a gentle rural walks to fascinating historical sites with stops for interpretation of archaeological remains, short informative sketches, relevant stories, occasional poems and a period music played on site. Using the full soundscape potential of the locations to make the listener feel that they are actually there.

These are edited to fit slots on local commercial radio stations. They will be made available free to them to help fill their requirement for speak broadcasting output. They will start and end with mentions of the programmes 'sponsors' and refer to a website, thus reinforcing the effect of the programmes.

See our existing walks and events. This existing material can be tailored to your needs. They can easily include references to particular business activities, products or clients.

If none of our existing material suits, then we can research and develop material based on a landscape or site of your choice. They can work on any site, for any period. Sites with complex histories are best served by their "Performance Archaeology" style.

Live Guided Walks

These events for the public are advertised on the same local commercial radio stations mentioned above (a discounted rate for the adverts could be negotiated as they are gaining free programming). They are based on the same programmes but with added material.

These can be self financing if they are charged. They both further reinforce the programmes message.

Booklets

To prolong the association in the publics mind a booklet of the guided walks can be written, and a supporting website. The book can also be self-financing if charged for.
