Longshanks & Talesman have the answer.
Gentle rural walks to fascinating historical sites with frequent stops for interpretation of archaeological remains, short informative sketches, relevant stories, occasional poems and a pub lunch. The audience are frequently physically involved, handling real archaeological finds or replicas, and becoming part of the reconstructions of the past, such as standing on the sites of post holes to create an iron age roundhouse.

Longshanks & Talesman specialise in site specific events, working to create an interface of interpretation and imagination between the public and the site using relevant archaeological facts and mythology. These are normally promenade events round the site, where the past is brought to life by combining instructive, entertaining lecture and lively storytelling with theatre techniques. Period musicians can also be placed about the property for added atmosphere.

Existing events can be tailored to your needs. They can easily include references to particular business activities, products or clients.
If none of our existing events or walks suit, we can research and develop a walk across a landscape of your choice or a site specific event for you, be it Castle, Medieval Hall, Abbey, Hillfort, or Prehistoric Landscape.
